The tie to wine , being trapped , and literally being buried in the wall illustrate the strength of this story and how macabre it can still be .

While a mountain of hoi polloi could make the connection to the character with this scene alone , Fallout 4is full of hidden questsand other little nod toThe Cask of Amontillado . One of the rubble items in the game is a bottle of amontillado . Players can detect these bottles sprinkled throughout the game , particularly in the Castle burrow . The bottles also have even further evidence of the reference on them , with the signature “ P. Edgar . ” The reference is clear and shows how much fun developers had when integrating it into the game .
There are some great factions in Fallout 4 with a mixture of newfangled and devolve group for the Sole Survivor to meet and potentially join up with .
The Cask of Amontilladohas been referenced countless times , but the additional mystery withinFallout 4makes this reference one of the creepier . thespian do n’t know who this skeleton in the cupboard is or why they are there , allowing imagination to go gaga with speculation . It ’s a dainty creepy-crawly element that elevates the atmosphere , make the menace seem even more daunting as motive are n’t known . Fallout 4clearly uses literary references well to make a better atm for the gamer .
