There ’s bit of The Vampire Lestat , there ’s piece of " Devil ’s Minion , " there ’s number of queen mole rat of the Damned and Talamasca stuff that we are hopefully very much going to research .
And I have always say I am more than willing to go down the " Devil ’s Minion " road with Eric or Luke or both . It might be a skillful analogue , alternate realness version to do a three - room . [ Laughs ]

Eric Bogosian : I was playing stop up on reading the Holy Scripture when we started , and I just finished the 7th book after we got back from Prague . But right smart back in the beginning , when we first fit each other , Assad maintain saying , " Yeah , we ’re swipe up . " And I had n’t gotten there yet , so I was n’t sure what he was talking about .
Assad Zaman : He did n’t believe me .
Eric Bogosian : And then I find out out more and more . Obviously , these books are the foundation of the show . But in this specific case , Rolin has decided to inflate the Daniel story greatly , and there are all kind of things going on that are n’t in the Holy Scripture . We really do n’t lie with where this is all going .
As a writer , it ’s definitely captivating to watch a great author reinterpret another neat author . This does n’t come about all the time , but in this particular case , I think it ’s been really exciting to watch how Rolin plays this 3D Bromus secalinus with Anne Rice , because her world is so imaginative and full of so many corner and crannies and musical theme — it ’s almost too much . He has to compute out , as anybody who adapts does , how to make compromises . I ’ve done it ; I ’ve adapted three or four things .
In some way , this is not a via media . This is an additional thing , especially with Daniel . In the book , Daniel sort of putz out , and flop now we ’re not doing that at all . We ’re rev up .
What To Expect From The Talamasca After Interview With The Vampire Season 2

Assad Zaman : Oh , love . I really do wish that we had a few more scene just explore that dynamic between Armand and Claudia because that has also been a question that people have . Why does he hate her , or does he detest her ? Does he detest her , or does he even care about her at all ? I suppose it ’s such an interesting dynamic , and I love Delainey . She ’s just such a laugh to work with . There were a few scenes that we had together , and it was so much play .
Going forrader , I go for to see Armand and Daniel ’s new relationship and dynamic . Whether we get to see some of that , I remember it ’s going to be really fun to do .
