An Interesting Dynamic Could Have Changed Kaiju No. 8 Completely
If Kafka had alternatively chosen to abandon his dreamand entirely blot out his kaiju identity , the serial would have taken on a darker and more suspenseful tone . In this edition , Kafka ’s life would then be overshadow by his now unattainable dreaming , andthe fear of exposure or rejection from those he cares about . He would be hale to live in hiding , hoping that the Defense Force , and especially his childhood supporter , Mina Ashiro , would n’t figure out his arcanum .
This would switch Kafka ’s human relationship with the supporting characters as well , including Reno Ichikawa . For Reno to be let in in the series as a supporting main case , there is a chance that he , too , would have had to abandon his ambition of fall in the Defense Force to rather aid Kafka . Either that , or he would have joined the Defense Force to keep Kafka informed . As for the rest of the Defense Force , it ’s likely the vast majority would either be compose off or indite as dangers to Kafka ’s life sentence .
The manga Kaiju No . 8 might be ending sooner than fans expected , allot to a comment from its author with the departure of volume 13 of the story .

The Defense Force would be the nifty menace to Kafkaif he instead chose to hide his identity . In the current narration , Kafka is driven by his desire to fulfil hislifelong dream and link his childhood friend Mina Ashiro , in defending against monsters . This gives the gum anime a bright and inspiring smell as Kafka master even the most unexpected obstacles to achieve his goals . If he were to mislay this and focus solely on survival , the narrative would careen , becoming instead more about the struggles of live on in a world that no longer feel like home .
Had he instead chosen to hide his identicalness , it would lead to a more isolated Kafka and the tarradiddle would likely focus more on his home struggle rather than the outside struggle against kaiju . In this storyline , Kafka would likely only expend his kaiju superpower as a means of survival or escape from the Defense Force , rather than use them in the name of the greater good .
Some fans have criticizedKaiju No . 8for quickly abandoning its initial premise of a fighter who worked a humble chore ( clean up after Kaiju disasters ) and did n’t follow the traditional shonen path . Had Matsumoto and Nakaji chosen to go down this alternate itinerary , the very foundation ofKaiju No . 8would have been a completely different storyline .
