Randy Mosiondz , Lead Designer forNeverwinter : I cerebrate it ’s really been the opportunity to evolve our game world . Sharandar was first introduced in our first political campaign mental faculty : Eumenides of the Feywild .   Since then we released about 19 other module over the years , with the late one beingSharandar . Reaching 20 Modules , span 8 eld , is a big accomplishment . What is one of the big changes implemented to the original construct forSharandar ?

Randy Mosiondz : One of the bad changes are the visuals . David Lopez , Neverwinter ’s Lead Environment Artist , and the rest of the environment squad work hard to update the look of the zone to make it a magical and absorb landscape .

The team also wanted to represent the passageway of time in a unique way . With our first module , Fury of the Feywild , adventurers helped the extremely low frequency defeat Malabog the Fomorian King . Now , year after with our first episode ofSharandar , The Iron Tooth , we had players return to what are now know as the Ruins of Malabog , which presented the challenge of , “ How has this home grow and evolved since the first module ? ” That ’s a conception that we ’re also applying to all of our worlds going forward . How does the participant ’s actions and the mental faculty ’s story affect these larger worlds ? We think that ’s a critical part to a game truly feeling immersive . You saw it with ourRedeemed Citadelcontent last yr , where we take a small composition of the world and evolved it over time , but it ’s also something you ’re going to see on a larger shell as we move forwards   - like the evolution ofSharandar- which is something we ca n’t wait for players to feel !

Is there one specific aspect ofNeverwinter’sModule 20 that you are particularly delirious for player to search ?

Ryan Zash , Content Designer forNeverwinter : I am most excited for watching players search the Mended Grove and the slime eels ’s den . I really like what our art squad was able to do with these spaces and how they jibe with the theme of the feywild in general and the module as a whole . Noah did some really cool workplace with some share technical school in the Hag ’s den , and I am eager to see how musician oppose to it .

The Hag in Episode 2 vocalize like a challenge . Is there a certain form you would recommendNeverwinterplayers have in their party when challenging her ?

Ryan Zash : If you are fighting her all by yourself , then any course that is serve in its DP role should be able to cope with most of what she will discombobulate at you . If you are lick as part of a group it would be wise to to wreak along someone who is good at conduct AoE damage , Mathilda likes to have ‘ friend ’ aid her out .

What is one of your favorite weapons total inNeverwinter’s20th Module ? What inspired its innovation ?

The Night Hag Neverwinter

Chantelle Tatum , organisation interior decorator forNeverwinter : We did n’t total any weapons , however , we did add plenty of new gear ! These solidifying of gear were crucial and very exciting for us because with our new fight rating changes , we had new stats to utilize , as well as old stats that were now relevant that needed representation . We made a clustering of new gear powers to give our actor new and engaging style to get these stats .

However , my ducky are the chase gear that will be usable inEpisode 3 : The Odious Court . While we recycle be costume pieces , these four curing are visually based on the themes of Sharandar : the land , the water , the darkness , and the life . As for their power , we focalise on each set catering to specific job roles in the biz , giving the role player the chance to choose spell that will avail them as they bring the new subject matter !

What was the most difficult thing about progress New Sharandar ?

Neverwinter gameplay Dungeons and Dragons Beasts

Ryan Zash : crop on New Sharandar has been a second of a singular challenge . With it being the first episodic spill forNeverwinter , it had a few out of the blue issuance that came with its developing . Not the least of these was the COVID-19 pandemic . One of the additional out of the blue development consequence for me has been the transition from finishing one episode and then moving into the next . In some cases this is a significant mental faulting from the dumb brutes of Bashin ’ Ordur , to corrupt , but more elegant , appendage of the Tormented Legion .

Which of the Hags was your dearie to make ? Which one gave you the most problem ?

Ryan Zash : For me the most fun hag to work on was Granny Necksnapper , the Annis Hag inEpisode 1 : The Iron Tooth . I ’ve always liked the root and character design of the Annis Hag in fifth Edition DnD , and I ’ve never had a good ground to use one in any of the campaigns that I ’ve hunt before . So I get under one’s skin a gripe out of construe the advance on her model and working on her lines and personality .

Do you have any advice or tips to give histrion as they take on“Episode 2 : The Soul Keeper ” ?

Ryan Zash : Well there is always the standard , attempt not to place upright in cherry-red puddles of death , or green puddle of nastiness …

Displacer beasts have a inclination to pounce on people , pick apart them down … hear not to let that bump . A certain honest-to-goodness fey creature has a fondness for undead , and tend to summon an entourage , it could be helpful to be ready to deal with her fry . If you enjoy using casual powers and playing with Madcaps , then it would n’t offend to deal with the little fella who like to drain points from you .

What elements of“Fury of the Feywild”should new musician pay attention to that could be helpful when they strain Module 20 ?

Ryan Zash : Many of the critters in the Feywild still have exchangeable behaviors , so remember how to cope with trolls , lunatic , and the like will help benefit musician who take part in Module 1 as they travel around in the Feywild of Module 20 .

Of all 20 Modules , which was the one that challenged you the most ?

Randy   Mosiondz : For me it would in all likelihood have to be Module 6 : Elemental Evil .   We were test to do a level - cap increase , and putting together all the supporting content for it was extremely thought-provoking . There were problems with the initial release , and we had to do a lot of subsequent change to make the module feel better over time .
