When we were trying to figure out who ’s going to play him , Bob Weinstein called me one day and suppose " Quentin Tarantino read the script , and he really liked it , but he feel would n’t it be cool if Sam Jackson dally Olin ? " And I was like , well , if Quentin says that , well that ’s a really secure idea .

For the absolute majority of the pic , Cusack is alone in his haunted hotel way . to help make scenes stand out where Cusack get down to work with another role player , gifted performers needed to be cast . histrion like Tony Shalhoub and Isiah Whitlock Jr. give wonderful performance , but the standout is Jackson .
