Of all the bases the Bat - Family could have taken , the labyrinth of Owls is one of the better . Not only is it a literal maze that even Batman struggle to voyage , but it has several quick road of escape . In the original story , Batman eventually escaped the Maze of Owls by destroying a fountain and exposing the river below . After Failsafe approach Nightwing and the rest of the resistancein this yield , they use this exact same method to break away .
