The Becomers Struggles To Establish A Sense Of Humor

But the bizarre and off - kilter drollery , paired with the shocking scenes of violence and grotesque foreign promiscuity , result in a mismatched and poorly constructed film overall . The conception is in effect . The visuals are occasionally interesting . The ambitiousness is there . Unfortunately , none of these redeem a feature of speech that is so inconsistent .
While the integral film present itself as an rum romanticcomedy / horror motion-picture show , the juxtaposition of themes and genre feel like they were peck at random . The story inserts several voice - over narrations that seek to add context for the stranger . With all of that said , this film is certain to find an interview to appreciate it . The idiotic , dark sense of humour , the overt equivalence to modern America , and the overall singularity of the motion picture will be certain to connect . However , for a much gravid demographic , this film is not pop off to inspire in any meaningful way . The Becomerscould have achieved more , but it ’s a moving picture that clamber with definitions , relationships , political sympathies , and just about everything else it attempt to magisterially establish itself as .
