While the series occasionally dips , especially as it zigs and zags its way throughthe whodunit mystery , it never lose its sense of engagement and fun . Tonally , it ’s not entirely coherent , caught between the spectacular elements and the zany entertaining ones , but it does n’t completely waver , either . The Perfect Coupleis , for the most part , just trying to have a skilful time , and it ’s content to take us along for the drive . By the serial ’ end , I was more than slaked with the level and the room it played out . One major twist necessitate Greer even had me chuckling .
